Hamilton Rentals Completes Management Buyout & splits from Xchange Technology Group

August 12, 2013

Hamilton Rentals splits from Xchange Technology  Group to concentrate on the UK IT Rental market
London, 12th August  2013 Hamilton Rentals, the UK’s largest independent provider of IT rental and asset management solutions, has completed a management buyout from its previous owner Xchange Technology Group (XTG).  The move will allow the business to focus on the UK market and to expand its range of solutions.

Led by established MD Martin O’Connor, who has led the business since 2007, Hamilton Rentals remains the largest independent provider of IT rental and asset management solutions in the UK. Google Tablet Hires Gaining Ground

June 5, 2013

In the Hamilton Rentals tablet rental inventory, we get to see a lot of top of the line equipment as it is released. However, there has been a recent trend of Google tablets popping up in the market that are gaining popularity and posing as serious competitors for Apple’s famously popular iPad.

This past year, several new Google tablet hires have been added to our inventory. Google’s Android tablets have slowly gained traction in the technological realm, which can be vastly attributed to the growth, development and improvement of the Android operating system since its initial conception.

Google tablet devices like Samsung Galaxy Tabs give business users the familiar interface of the Android smartphones that many have turned to in lieu of the iPhone. Not only do these Google tablet rentals have the power that businesses need for mobile computing, but despite all the bells and whistles these devices still come with a much lower price tag than their Apple competitors.

It isn’t difficult to see why Google’s Android tablets are gaining popularity in the tablet rental market. Although iPads are still a consumer favourite, Google tablets are becoming just as lightweight and sleekly designed as the iPad. Not to mention, they give you a choice of size – whereas the iPad and the iPad mini only offer the one-size standards.

Google tablet hires offer the functionality and connectivity that allows team members to share information easily and make use of powerful word processing applications so that business users can stay productive on the go. Not only can these devices take a major chunk out of your growing office to-do list, but they look great doing it – high definition displays and top quality microphone & speakers built right into the device give users the highest quality audio and visual experience.

We’re certainly curious to see if this trend of Google tablets in the market will continue, or if the next version of the iPad will change the tablet game yet again!

iPad hires: iPad 5 (approximate) release date rumours

May 23, 2013

On Monday, the rumour mill surrounding the release of the iPad 5 went into full force. Because we specialise in iPad hires at Hamilton Rentals, we follow Apple’s iPad development and release dates very closely!

Earlier this week, sources within Taiwan’s supply chain reported the mass production of the iPad 5 would begin this summer, and that September could see the roll-out of between 2 and 3 million units.

The iPad 5 is rumoured to be between 25 and 33 percent lighter than the iPad 4. Opposed to the 4th generation iPad’s .25mm glass substrate, the iPad 5 will have a .2mm glass panel and one LED backlight instead of two. The reduction of LED lighting and the breadth of the glass layer will drastically cut back on the thickness and weight of the iPad 5.

It’s no secret that Apple has faced some trouble in 2013 already. The American Customer Service Index released their Information Sector numbers for May, and Apple’s customer satisfaction rankings for smartphones dropped by two percentage points whereas rival Samsung’s smartphone CS rating jumped by seven percentage points, considerably narrowing the gap between the two industry leaders. The release of the thinner, lighter iPad might be the boost that Apple needs to increase its overall customer satisfaction lead.

We can only speculate what is in store for iPad fans, but whether the iPad 5 will be a revolution or an evolution remains to be seen based on what the public knows for now. However, we are excited to see what the new device can do!

Hamilton Rentals offers flexible iPad hires, whether it be for a training course, an event, or meetings. Find out how our iPad rentals can help make your next conference successful – contact us today.

Hamilton Rentals Now Offering Managed Print Services

May 15, 2013

Hamilton Rentals is pleased to announce that we will be adding Managed Print Services to our line of consultation amenities.  Many organisations waste thousands every year on their current printing processes. Hamilton aims to eliminate print overspending, and reduce cost and wasted resources.

It is not uncommon for businesses to spend too much money on printing processes, because they do not realise that there are options available that could make their process more efficient. In a recent study by InfoTrends, they reveal that organisations polled estimated that only 3% of their annual revenues were spent on document management. In reality, the revenue spending for document control reached roughly 6% – twice as much as they thought they were spending.

Hamilton Rentals’ managed print service consultations evaluate your business’s current printing versus your printing needs, taking into consideration the size of your staff, the nature of printing required, and a number of other key factors. Through our managed print service, we reduce your company’s overall energy consumption by condensing the number of devices being used and suggesting more energy-efficient printing solutions for your business. We provide insight into your current print consumption that often goes overlooked during budgeting, and offer customised service and support to give your company the effective printing solution it needs.

Our Balance Deployment Managed Print Solutions service reduces print waste drastically, and our Secure Print Software Solutions cut back on print volume by about 20 percent annually. Combined, our managed print services are able to help businesses scale back on unnecessary spending and free up valuable IT resources in the process.

Your business may be spending more than it has to on yearly printing costs. Find out how evaluating your printing processes and budget can save your company money today by contacting Hamilton Rentals, or click here to contact us.
