The Biggest and Best in European IT Rental: Hamilton Meets Livingston

Hamilton Rentals can now extend its reach even further into Europe with the help of its new partner, Livingston Electronic Services GmbH.

Parent company Xchange Technology Group (XTG) announced this week that the company will acquire all assets of Livingston, a European business providing short-term rental solutions for IT and Audio Visual Products.

With Hamilton’s base in the U.K. and Livingston’s in Germany, the companies together make up the largest short-term technology rental company in all of Europe.

Martin O’Connor, Managing Director of Hamilton Rentals, commented: “This is a unique opportunity for the two largest IT rental and asset management companies in Europe to join forces to produce a true pan-European organisation. This combination provides XTG with the unique ability to provide value to our customers and business partners on a broad, international basis. There’s surprisingly little duplication across the two organisations and it will provide many opportunities for cross-selling within the merged entity.”

Livingston is similar to Hamilton Rentals and its U.S. affiliate, Vernon Computer Source, who focus on the rental, lease and lifecycle management of equipment and peripherals from tier-one technology manufacturers.  The company will also bring on board the availability of test and measurement rentals to accompany its IT rental products as well.

Siegbert Franz, Managing Director of Livingston said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to take the business to a new level. The resources, offerings and reach of XTG, and the existing presence of Hamilton Rentals in Europe provides a completely unique platform for growth. Everyone at Livingston is very excited about the future of the company within the Xchange Technology Group.”

XTG now operates with 21 facilities in nine different countries. To learn more about our AV and IT rental lineup, contact us today. Whether it’s a laptop, server, of plasma hire you need, we’ve got you covered.
