Leading European Web Host Rolling in HP Proliant Servers

One of Europe’s largest Internet hosting service providers has shown some pretty strong brand loyalty to Hewlett-Packard.

HP announced earlier this week that LeaseWeb has deployed 5,700 HP ProLiant servers, adding to its 15,000 already deployed HP Proliant models. The latest additions will live in its data centers in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, in addition to its most recent center in the U.S. (Virginia).

The preferred models of the latest deployment were the HP ProLiant DL 120 G6 and the HP Proliant DL180 G6 to “meet its burgeoning global workloads.”

LeaseWeb has made the implementation in hopes of extending its IT environments for hosting, while also improving its customer response time and overall satisfaction levels. HP Proliant servers can deliver high density for a variety of rack deployments and applications with high-capacity and storage optimization at a low cost.

“As our business expands, so does our need to keep pace with user demands, as well as offer new services, while providing a fast, powerful and secure hosting environment,” said Con Zwinkels, managing director, LeaseWeb Netherlands in a press release. “HP ProLiant servers have increased our application performance and enabled faster time to solution to meet our business challenges while delivering improved operational efficiency.”

If your business is preparing to make a storage or server investment for an enterprise database or a move to virtualization, play it safe and contact Hamilton Rentals.  Our server rental fleet carries top brands like HP Proliant, in addition to IBM and Oracle, allowing you to try out your investment before you make the final commitment of a purchase.
